In this edition of the Santiago Marathon, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment. Thanks to voluntary donations from our participants and our partnership with Corporación Robles, our Environmental Ambassador, we have achieved significant milestones in the reforestation of the San Juan de Piche Nature Sanctuary. With the first phase completed in 2024, we are now ready to move on to the second phase of the project, which aims to increase the number of trees planted and strengthen the recovery of this key ecosystem in the Metropolitan Region.
The sanctuary, designated in 2013, has been severely affected by the megadrought and wildfires, and your help is crucial to continuing the restoration of this valuable green space. With your donation, you’ll be directly contributing to offsetting the CO2 emissions generated by the event, helping us move toward a more sustainable future.
